Art Entry Requirements
All displayed artworks is available for sale. Artists must be 18 or older and as of April 2024 is open to all Southeastern Michigan residents.

Art Ambience Art Exhibit, Show and Sale?For several years now, the Creative Art Society (CAS) has diligently organized the esteemed Art Ambience Juried Fine Art Exhibit, Show, and Sale, which notably includes a non-juried show as well as an engaging art sale that is open to all artists who reside in the vibrant Southeastern Michigan area. The Art Entry Fee is conveniently discounted for CAS members, although all local artists are strongly encouraged to take part in this wonderful opportunity to showcase their talents and creativity.

Admission to attend this wonderful event is always free, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to partake in the celebration of art. Each year, a talented and qualified artist from the beautiful sate of Michigan is specially invited to serve as the juror, bringing their expertise to assess and carefully select the award winners for the outstanding fine artwork presented.

This year's remarkable event showcased a diverse collection of over 130 original pieces available for sale. Cash prizes were generously awarded to first, second, and third place winners, in addition to recognizing other notable recipients, with a total amount of over $800 in awards distributed. A brief yet meaningful ceremony highlighted the prestigious 2024 Visual Art Scholarship Awards, each one valued at an impressive $750.

The opening reception also featured light refreshments and entertainment creating a lively atmosphere for attendees. Winning artworks from the talented CAS Visual Art Scholarship Award winners are proudly displayed at the three day event each year, further enhancing the exhibit's appeal.

2024 Art Ambience Juror
Laura Whitesides Host

WLaura Whitesides Host served as our juror. A BFA graduate from the University of Michigan's School of Architecture and Design, she creates in water mediums and mono-type printmaking. Ms. Host has been a board member of the Michigan Water Color Society and the Birmingham Society of Women Painters, and has taught experimental water media and printmaking at the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center since 1993.

2024 Art Ambience Honorary Co-Chairs
Dr. Noel and Debbie Jackson

Dr. Noel and Debbie Jackson are community volunteers and arts supporters. Dr. Jackson, a dentist in Trenton, is a member of the Rotary Club. Mrs. Jackson holds a Master's in educating children with emotional and learning needs and is an administrator. They founded the Downriver Youth Performing Arts Center, which is celebrating its 25th season. The couple has three children and two twin grandsons and recently marked their 50th wedding anniversary.
