Many CAS Members provide art education though the classes and seminars they teach in Southeastern Michigan communities.

Abstract Art -CRFT 6005 CRN 82326 9/9/2024-11/25/2024 12:30-2:30 pm This class has been very popular with everyone because we do fun projects to introduce you to Abstract Art. Projects are creative and open-ended.

Unique Surfaces - CRFT 5057 CRN 77822 9/3/2024-11/16/2024 10-12 pm A variety of mediums are used with a variety of substrates(what we paint/create on). Previously we have painted on glass, plexiglass, paper bags, canvas, paper, watercolor, gel plates. Fun and gets you into painting. Designed for all levels of painters.
Ideas & Interactions CRFT 5058 CRN77825 9/3/2024-11/16/2024 12:30-2:30 pm This class is designed to give you time for your own projects (if you want)--and (shhh......)this semester I will be also teaching Palette Knife Painting. Designed for all levels of painters.
Wednesday is both in-person at Ted Scott campus and online- 9/4/2024-11/20/2024 We have been doing this for the past couple of years and it has serviced the students from out of the area and out of state. The number in class is small - so if you want individualized help- this is the place to be.

Advanced Watermedia techniques-CRFT 5088 CRN 81233 10-Noon All mediums are used - usually whatever medium you choose is fine by me. We will delve into gelatin plates/making our own collage papers/alcohol inks/creating on yupo and masa paper. This class is designed for all levels of painters. The class is often determined by what the students want to learn - Shirley Trevina watercolors will be looked at closely - I have a major project for you all to work on.
Painting Big SHH.......(ALSO ABSTRACT ART) CRFT 5089 CRN 81234 Due to my clerical error - the title is Painting Big - which I can also teach, but I would like to also work on abstracts. Combining these two could create wonderful work!! And, as always, if you choose to work small, it is fine by me. This is designed for all levels of painters. Fun projects coming your way!!
