Southeastern Michigan High School or College student artists may win up to a $1000 Visual Art Scholarship Award. Applications accepted November 1, 2024 through March 30, 2025.

OPEN TO ALL ARTISANS: Downriver Arts & Crafts Holiday Sale is a one day partnership between Wayne County Community College District and Creative Art Society.

There is NO FEE TO PARTICIPATE
Artwork & Crafts will be offered for sale. ALL work must be created by the artist or crafter. NO commercially made articles may be sold at this venue. This is a family oriented day so we will only accept family oriented artwork and crafts. Several Downriver artisans may provide community education through art demonstrations.

In order to maintain a high quality of arts & crafts offered, this is a juried event. Please send 3 photos of your body of work and booth or table set up - this can be done via mail or text. (A booth image is important for reference size and dimensions of your craft/art.) You will be notified of acceptance into this event. If you would like to have an example of your arts & crafts in promotional material please send photos to Maureen Keast via text message at 734.777.6109 ASAP

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU, THE ARTISAN/CRAFTER, WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR COLLECTING SALES TAX AND REPORTING YOUR REVENUE TO THE STATE OF MICHIGAN.

Set up is the morning of the event at 8:45. All set up must be completed by 9:30

If you are not on site before 10:00 a.m., you will forfeit your space. Take down will take place AFTER 4:00 – This is mandatory.

Thank you for attending this Creative Art Society (CAS) art event at the Woodhaven Community Center, located at 23101 Hall Road.

This year’s event took place over the exciting dates of April 26th, April 27th, and April 28th, 2024. If you were unable to attend this year, we sincerely hope that you will join us again in April 2025, as the exact date for that event will be announced shortly.

This year’s art show showcased a diverse collection of varied art mediums and exceptional talents. Everything from intricate sculpture, captivating oil painting, exquisite ceramics, stunning photography, vibrant acrylic painting, unique alcohol ink creations, soft pastels, creative fiber arts, to delicate watercolor painting was represented.

The mission of Art Ambience is to enhance the image of our community as a thriving cultural area while providing much-needed recognition of the talented Southeastern Michigan artists.

At this year’s event, we are proud to believe that we successfully met both of those important mission goals.

We would like to extend a big THANK YOU to all our amazing volunteers who contributed their time and effort to help make this event possible. Of course, we also want to express our gratitude to the wonderful artists who participated in making this a truly memorable and enjoyable artistic event for everyone involved.
